Little did General Motors know when they introduced  young men fresh from combat to the 1955 Chevy were they creating a cult that would explode over the next three years of custom car designers who could get the most from the engine in these cars. The Tri-Five (55-57)   Chevrolet cars were  easily modified and were on every road in the United States.

Just as Dwight D. Eisenhower was envisioning his highway system, Chevy was building the cars that would use it. This 1955 Chevy was sitting in the warm Florida sun basking in all of the attention surrounding it.
