What's New in October?
Even though Florida is devoid of seasons, we do get a little bit of a coolness in the air when the humidity starts to drop in the fall. That’s where we’re at now, and it’s always a welcome change around here.
My spring and summer flowers are starting to show their age, and even though the purple petunias are still hanging on, they need to be replaced in the hanging baskets. As do the long, stemmy marigolds that have lost most of their leaves and petals.
After having only queen butterflies in the nursery all spring, there are an abundance of monarchs in caterpillar stage as I write this. I don’t know how many will survive— the wasps are relentless in hunting them—, but I do know that at one point there were two dozen of them decimating my milkweed plants. This year, I have lots of milkweed for them to eat, so they won’t starve to death.

What’s New
Sarcastic Mugs & Shirts: I don’t know why I woke up with a sarcastic response to everything the other day, but I channeled the remarks into coffee mugs, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.
Journals: I have a few designed and more on the desktop. I did two gardener specific journals; one with prompts and one with gratitude quotes. The dragonfly journal is blank inside, and the glimmer journal offers a place to write down your glimmers.
Halloween Trick or Treat Bags: Yes, there are now a dozen trick or treat bags in the shop with matching shirts on the horizon.

Countdown to Christmas 2024
