What's New in August? 

Still hot, in case you wondered. There’s a bit of turbulence coming off the African coast that won’t materialize until after I’ve published this, so I don’t now if we’re going to have a hurricane or not. It certainly is the right time of the year for the Gulf to start churning, followed by the East Coast. Until I know, I am going to concentrate on keeping my flowers from burning up from the heat and my butterflies safe from hungry wasps. We released three black swallowtails this week. 

While all of the weather is hot, I am working on Halloween and Christmas designs, as well as cold weather sweatshirts and holiday décor. It doesn’t keep me any cooler, but it makes having to stay inside a little better.

For some reason, we have become a hawk haven. I don’t know if it’s the bird bath they love most, the gazillion squirrels that used to run around the yard, or the fat, plump doves at the bird feeder, but we’ve seen three hawks enjoying themselves in the yard. There are two of them in this photo, even though you can only see the legs on the second one behind the hibiscus. I guess our little piece of nature makes them happy.

What’s New

Sarcastic Mugs & Shirts: I don’t know why I woke up with a sarcastic response to everything the other day, but I channeled the remarks into coffee mugs, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.

Journals: I have a few designed and more on the desktop. I did two gardener specific journals; one with prompts and one with gratitude quotes. The dragonfly journal is blank inside, and the glimmer journal offers a place to write down your glimmers.

Halloween Trick or Treat Bags: Yes, there are now a dozen trick or treat bags in the shop with matching shirts on the horizon.
