In that, I am looking for some cool shade to be in when I am outside, and Blu is lounging on the front porch sharing his water dish with the brazen squirrels. Volume 14 Issue 6, June 2017 What's New in June? It’s summer. With that comes a lot of new flowers and other colorful additions to our front yard. We just dropped in several black eyed susan plants to brighten up a newly cleared corner of the front yard. We get assaulted regularly by pepper trees that are noxious weeds the size of redwoods, and once that weed was chopped down, there was a sunny space for some more flowers. Volume 14 Issue 5, May 2017 What's New in May? Feels like summer just snuck up on us and smacked us upside the head. The heat and humidity is already starting to creep up on us. There are new ospreys in the nest, and they are very noisy.
