What's New in March
Even in a leap year, February is a short month with lots of activity. Got the spring planting fever, so I had to buy geraniums, petunias, and marigolds for my hanging pots. The monarchs have made good use of some old milkweed that I have been nursing back to health and three caterpillars are chowing down on it. Won’t be long before there are butterflies. I have a healthy crop of parsley and a small crop of dill growing for the swallowtails. I’m ready for the new explosions of color in the yard.
Speaking of exploding colors, I’ve decided that as I design more and more signs and wall art for both BME and The Hairy Dog Store, that color is the key. The more riotous color I can get, the better. It’s rather freeing. :)
My old polymer clay equipment is slowly being sold off. I had a pang of regret when I boxed up my pasta machine with a motor, but like Elsa, Let it Go! I am ready to move forward and can’t wait to get my room back in shape. I have beads spread out everywhere! And boxes! Yikes, I have boxes of stuff. The hardest part is getting photos of everything and letting it all go.
In the meantime, here are some ladybug eggs to look at. They are the tiny yellow dots.
What’s New
Gifts for Gardeners: Went a little crazy with color! I designed a number of wildly colored front license plates and garden flags. For some reason, I am on a gnome kick. Don’t know if that will end or not.
Gifts for Grandmas: Personalized kitchen wall art has been on my list of things to do this month. I am having a blast making wall art using a riot of colors. I haven’t settled on a specific topic but have experimented in coffee, baking, and hippy Grandmas.
