What's New in August
The tropics are brewing and we’re watching a wave off of the coast of Africa. It’s been days of rainy weather, but all that’s done is make Harry’s feet dirty and make everything green.
There’s been some changes on the caterpillar front here. We had queens leave eggs that have gone on to fly away, and my dill and parsley is the home to about a dozen swallowtails happily munching away. I have them under several layers of protective screening since our resident wasps want to make them their lunch. Can’t wait to see how these turn out.
It’s been a busy summer already, but most of it is outside of BME, so there isn’t much to put in a newsletter. I don’t think anyone reads these anymore, but I can’t stop writing them since it’s been a habit to write a note to you guys every month since 2004.
