What's New in September
While I wait to see what the hurricane season does for/to us, I’ve been working on getting some new designs together and cleaning up the garden. I didn’t have much luck with gardening, but I did manage to grow a lot of butterflies! In August, I released 3 queens, a dozen monarchs, and a dozen Swallowtails, which are new ones to my little butterfly garden.
My milkweed crop has been eaten up and overrun by aphids, so I cut them all back and replaced a couple plants. I don’t have enough to support a new crop of butterflies, so I am letting everything go natural. Even my parsley crop is starting to grow back.
As I get ready for the fall, I have decided to focus on creating rugs, t-shirts, mouse pads, and canvas prints featuring my art. I hope that everyone enjoys that.
